Travel

Coventry is easily accessible via all major transport links.

By rail

Coventry is on the main intercity route. Trains from London (Euston) leave every 30 minutes throughout most of the day with journey times of approximately 80 minutes. You can book tickets with Virgin Trains.

There are also daily services from Scotland and the Northwest, from Bristol, the Southwest and South Wales. In addition there are frequent services to Oxford, Southampton and Bournemouth, as well as Nuneaton, Rugby, Birmingham New Street and Birmingham International (for Birmingham International Airport and the National Exhibition Centre).

Once you arrive in Coventry, you have three ways to reach the University:

If you take a taxi, the fare will be approximately £3.00 and you should ask for Coventry University in the city centre.

Alternatively, bus numbers 17 and 27 leave the station for the city centre every ten minutes (every 30 minutes after 6pm). Ask the driver for 'Pool Meadow', which is the bus terminus. This is opposite Priory Street. Make sure you have the exact cash ready as no change is given on the buses.

If you choose to walk, it will take you 10-15 minutes. Cross the station square and turn right onto Park Rd. At the crossroads with Manor Rd, turn left. A footbridge on the right takes you over the ring road and onto Friars Rd. Continue straight ahead. Turn right at the end of Friars Rd onto New Union St, then left at the traffic lights and onto Little Park St. Follow the road as it bends round to the right and becomes Earl St. Just before the Herbert Art Gallery turn left onto Bayley Lane. The University is on the right, near the cathedral.

Pool Meadow bus and coach station is located five minutes' walk from the University's main reception in the Alan Berry building.
